Today, The Two Mikes after a long absence welcomed back Bishop E. Robert Smith, Jr. who preaches to a congregation in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our discussion focused, of course, on the tyranny that appears to be engulfing our republic.
The three of us agreed that the missing component of American society’s defense against the republic-killing coalition of Democrats, Big Tech, the Banks, sexual deviants, atheists, and the government’s scientific/medical establishment is a truthful, resolute, and aggressive Christian clergy.
That clergy was a major support of the American revolutionaries — the British called them “the black-robed brigade — and taught, as St. Paul wrote, that freedom and liberty are the gifts of God and not the ideas of man. Rather it is the duty of men to protect the gifts God gave them.
St. Paul also preached that citizens owed allegiance to their governments but so long as it did not interfere with their God-given rights. Once the government moves from protecting those rights to eradicating them, the citizens’ allegiance to that government is terminated in God’s eyes, and it then falls to the citizens to destroy those seeking to install tyranny, enslave them, and to eliminate Christianity.
It seems that very, very few Christian clerics have taken-up their God-assigned role of leading resistance in whatever form is required. In a Christian country like the American republic, those clerics and their flocks are the key to defeating a tyranny led by anti-christs, baby sacrifice God-haters, deviants, and criminals.
