Rachel Bruno’s experience with CPS is horrifying, and no parent should ever go through this! To have your children being taken away and threatened to be adopted off without any sort of due process should be illegal, yet it is incentivized by the Federal Government. According to Rachel, there are no Constitutional Rights in Family Court, CPS has ultimate power to essentially do whatever they want to do and there’s virtually no repercussions for their unconstitutional behavior. This is a serious problem that needs to be resolved.
Unfortunately, there have been only a few lawmakers who have attempted to reign in CPS, yet even a couple of them ended up dead, according to Rachel. There’s a need to reform CPS to refocus their intention on reunification of families and protect children who actually need protection, all while upholding the Constitutional Rights of parents of due process. We need to take away the incentive for the social workers working for CPS to take children away from their parents and adopt them out. The system is all wrong and needs to be fixed ASAP!
