Judge Bruce Schroeder announced today from the bench in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial that MSNBC journalists were no longer allowed in the Kenosha courthouse. He made the announcement after describing a disturbing sequence of events allegedly conducted by or at the behest of MSNBC producers.
The jury is bussed in and out in a bus with windows covered — a “sealed bus,” as the judge put it — to prevent them from seeing signs and protesters at the courthouse. Last night, a vehicle was spotted by law enforcement following the bus as it left the courthouse. Police pulled the vehicle over for running a red light and were informed that the driver worked for MSNBC and was following the bus as instructed by a producer in New York to follow the bus.
The driver’s name was reported to the judge as “James J. Morrison” and claimed to be a producer for NBC News. He was instructed by a New York producer named “Irene Byon” to follow the bus.
