The combination of cancel culture and woke corporate mentality has prompted many companies to make extraordinarily poor business decisions. Even if we dismiss the fact that cancel culture can never be quenched or that nobody can ever be woke enough to prevent all backlash, we cannot ignore the implications of some of the changes made by companies to appease their progressive detractors.
Land O’Lakes was called out for everything from racism to cultural appropriation when their branding was a female Native American against an idyllic backdrop. They made changes, and as Twitter user Wilfred Reilly noted, those changes may not have been properly considered.
