Today, The Two Mikes had the pleasure of welcoming back that excellent Cairo-based journalist Ed Yeranian for another discussion of politics and U.S. interests in the Middle East.
Mr. Yeranian explained what he knew about the ship that got stuck in the Suez Canal and then was freed but moved to another spot in the canal for reasons yet unknown. He said that rumors were flying in Egypt but his contacts had basically told him “there’s nothing to see here.”
We discussed the mainstream U.S. media’s complete blackout on the issue, and noted that the owners of the ship had done nothing to stop the growing number of claims that there are abducted children aboard, many dead and many alive.
Also discussed was Turkey’s self-inflicted economic problems, the apparently positive ties between the rabidly anti-U.S. George Soros and Israel, and the Middle East’s reaction to the news about America’s current contest with criminality, rigged elections, and a brain-dead presidential administration.
