Governor Gavin Newsom has established a new 10pm curfew for practically the entire state of California. Although the state is, for the most part, submitting to these tyrannical and unconstitutional mandates, the question is: Does Newsom have the Constitutional authority to enforce a curfew? Does this violate our Constitutional Rights as American citizens? Jeff Dornik breaks this all down during this episode of Let’s Talk Right Now.
The United States Constitution protects certain inalienable rights, including the right to peaceably assemble. The California governor’s new restrictions regarding the curfew between the hours of 10pm and 6am is a violation of our Constitutional Rights. The government is not allowed to restrict our ability to peaceably assemble, and that’s not just limited to protests. This is also to include any form of assembly, so these new “laws” are actually unConstitutional and illegal. Californians should not tolerate this kind of illegal behavior from our government officials like Governor Gavin Newsom.
