US Navy SEAL (Ret.) Don Mann sat down with Bill McIntosh to discuss the unfolding Afghanistan withdrawal debacle and contrasted President Biden’s terribly poor execution of the meticulous plan crafted under President Trump’s watch and the competent Soviet pullout from Afghanistan in 1989.
America went into the final pullout in August without a single death to our Armed Forces for 18 months then on Aug. 26th at 5:50 PM local time 11 US Marines, a US Navy Medical Corpsman and a US Army Soldier were murdered as well as 169 Afghans in a massive terror attack at the Kabul Airport. This was the largest loss of US Service Members since 2011. It is unknown how many of the dead were Afghan translators and support personnel for the United States and our allies.
Thousands of US citizens and Afghan translators who risked their lives for US Armed forces and US Military Contractors and others are now at grave risk. Don Mann termed the situation as “beyond pathetic”.
