Many prominent conservative influencers have been fleeing from Facebook and Twitter for supposed green pastures over at Parler, Gab and a few other startups. During this episode of Let’s Talk Right Now, host Jeff Dornik explains why this is the wrong move on multiple different levels.
Simply from a strategic level, putting all of your eggs in the basket of Parler is setting up the Conservative Movement for failure. According to reports, the Parler system is created using Amazon software and servers, which means that this Conservative social media company which is doing a good job of standing for freedom is actually beholden to Globalist Jeff Bezos. Bezos could decide tomorrow to shut down Parler, which would then leave Conservatives voiceless.
The other side of this discussion deals with the idea of our need to fight the battle where the fight is actually happening. Right now, the war is being waged on Social Media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. If walk away, then we’ll be self-censoring ourselves and disengaging from the broader debate. It may be easier for us to share our views on Parler, but if we are only shouting into an echo chamber, what are we actually accomplishing?
