Our nation is faced once again with mass shootings being brought to light in the media, and of course the Left immediate jumps on our second amendment rights, while the conservatives immediately jump to defending those rights. Although I believe those rights must be defended at all costs, I think the actual discussion regarding these acts of evil needs to be had.
I understand that guns are used in mass shootings, but to think that without guns there would be no mass killings is nothing but ignorance on full display. In my personal opinion, if everyone was efficient at carrying a firearm and had it attached to them as teens do a cell phone, we would not only have a safer nation, but also a nation that showed more respect to one another.
So why does the Left jump on guns immediately following a mass shooting? I don’t believe this is done out of malice or hatred for the republicans or gun abiding citizens. I actually believe that they are honest in their motives of making the world a safer place, but the way they are doing it is wrong.
The Left is deeply involved with identity politics or gathering people into groups. Look at how they treat people by the color of their skin. They treat people of African decent as gods, burning cities down and rioting against the common man all in the name of “Black Lives Matter” while they treat all white people as racists and lesser individuals. The Left treats all cops as evil mass murdering individuals through the immediate condemnation of Derek Chauvin without a trial, as well as the trending “ACAB” shouted by the far left.
If you even challenge their ideologies, you are immediately deemed a racist and a white supremacist, your books are banned and your videos taken down off their platforms. Affirmative Action blatantly gives people with different races advantages in Higher Education, and what about these reparations that are being paid out to Native Americans? The Left is obsessed with judging people as a collective and not as individuals.
Through these examples is the main reason as to why it is I believe that they immediately jump to banning firearms. It allows them to take the easy way out in thinking, “Surely if there are no guns, there would be no shootings.” It’s a blanket solution that would only work in a world where everyone was inherently good and people would turn the firearms in. But that’s the problem isn’t it?
The Left believes that everyone is inherently good deep down, and if everyone were given equal outcomes utopia would reign down on earth and people would treat one another with goodness and pixie dust. Yeah, and I have a pet Unicorn in my basement. This is obviously untrue, and nations across the world have tried to implement such things, these ideologies led to the gulags in Russia, the death camps in China, and the Concentration Camps of Nazi Germany. The journey that the Left takes in reaching this paradise is paved with the bodies of the innocent and tarred with the blood of the individual.
The fact of the matter is there will always be criminals, and the heart of man is evil. We must be taught to be good. The infant to toddler stage is that of self serving selfish attributes that result in crying when hungry, stealing toys from one another, clawing, hitting, and biting when things don’t align correctly within their world. That is until they are taught, that these actions are inappropriate within the world of their engagement. The parent must take on the responsibility of teaching their child how to appropriately align themselves within the social sphere by correcting inherently poor behavior and instilling a moral authority.
Morality is something that must be taught, myself being a Christian, we were given an entire book by God that teaches us how to act according to an absolute moral authority. In taking this approach, we conservatives must view mankind through the lens of the individual. We realize that it is through the mind and soul of an individual that you reach them and change the actions they preform throughout the world. This is why the conversation regarding firearms should not be the conversation we should be having, because its not about steel and black powder, its about the heart and mind of the individual, and until the Left stops viewing people by race or groups, they will never be able to wrap their mind around this concept.
What drives these people to commit such atrocities? To delve deep within themselves to be so in tuned with evil that it ends up being the force that drives them, controls them. Granted I can’t discuss all of these possible variables, nor do I honestly know them all.
I have been a Christian virtually my entire life and I had parents that raised me in a lovingly stern household that has helped me to become successful in life as well as pretty decent in regards to getting along with anyone. My wife jokes that I can go to the hole in the wall biker bar or the uptight suit and tie speakeasy and ill walk out making five more friendly acquaintances. I tend to love people, and I genuinely enjoy listening to their stories. So how in the world can I possibly know about how an individual can be in touch with his hell and how said person can expel his demons upon the world. But, here are my speculations none the less, on at least two separate causations of this behavior.
The first is that of a loving mother whom smothers her child. These stories are the ones you hear on the news where the mother or family will state, “We never saw this coming, he was such a kind child.” This is the product of a mother who is overly protective of his or her child, shielding them from the evils of the world outside the home.
A steel casket has been built around the child to keep him from the trials and hardships within the world. The casket holds them secluded, unable to experience new relationships for fear of them turning into hardships. They often don’t preform any laborious work out of fear from the mother of the child encountering harm. They are shielded, protected, but without the steel casing they are weak, and subject to the power of a malevolent world should they step outside it. The world can not be shielded for the entirety of a human life. The child lacks the ability to form relationships with would be friends, and due to the shielding of their mother lack the ability to become social, leading to awkward encounters.
We all know that awkward encounters within a high school or life in general will more than likely lead to teasing and bullying. This leads to the person retreating within themselves for some sort of solace, or reprieve from the harsh conditions of the world. As the person retreats more and more within themselves they become reliant upon the only person they know, their own being.
So what happens when they end up betraying even their own soul? What happens when a situation arises that they are unable to cope with? The realization that they are out of control of even their own life makes them feel worthless and alone, with no-one else to rely upon to pull them from the underworld. The steel protection of the casket falls away, and the talons of the world sink into the mind of the individual leaving him with nothing more than a casket, a mode of transportation into hell.
Secondly, there is the person with the abusive parents, or the parents that have nothing to do with them, leaving them to face the world alone with no guidance or sense of direction within the world. This child has already been betrayed by the people that brought him into being, and the betrayal of those you rely on from birth is one of ultimate consequence.
How then can you trust the people you encounter within the world when the ones that brought you into the world tossed you to the side as a piece of human debris. How then, can you move forward with your own life left to your own evil provocations with nobody to guide you into the suppression and handling your own natural instincts. These broken families, lacking love and more than likely lacking many material things leave the child attending schools unable to trust anyone, and seeing the hallways filled with people who appear to have their lives in order.
People making relationships and friends, the jocks having women by their hips, the nice cars, the homes to go back to, while they are left with a father that beats them, or a mother that drinks and ignores him. They see the world and those within it and they push their blame upon it. They blame the success of others as the failure of their own lives.
The world is the reason why they are in the situation they find themselves, and they hate it. They hate the jock for his skill, and the way he is able to socialize with others, he hates the kid who has a family to go back to, he hates society for the things he doesn’t have. Jealousy and rage dwell within his very soul. When corrected in his outbursts by teachers or others in an attempt to help orientate him within the world he despises them and hates them for it.
He, who has been alone his entire life is not about to hear how he should act or behave so late in his life, especially from someone who appears more privileged then himself. The sharp lazy rebukes and the holier then thou mentality from others, not only allows the evil within himself to take over, he embraces it with glee. He travels to his hell and kills the evil within only to become evil itself. “The world believes me to be evil? I will become evil, and I will show the world what evil truly is.”
Both of these mindsets lead to the inevitable acts of evil we see in our nation as mass shootings. These people have been betrayed by their interpretation of the world leaving them retreating within themselves for the answers only to be overcome by the evil inside.
Life is meaningless, there is no point. The world has turned against them, and because they only have themselves, that leaves the world to blame. They have become something else entirely through accepting the religion of nihilism, that to live is meaningless. They understand that, they believe that the rest of the world is caught in an illusion of joy and happiness. They take this burden upon themselves to show the world what it is they mean by this.
The caskets to this world of hell takes form, and they are not building for themselves alone, rather for those they wish to drag with them. You told them they were going to hell for being gay, that they would never amount to anything if they don’t turn their lives around, that they weren’t worth your time to sit down with. You spewed these corrections from your vile mouth not out of love, but out of judgement and self idolization. You sat online and typed your words of correction in a manner of judgment and made them to be nothing but spectacle of everything wrong with the world. You failed to sit down with them, to talk to them, and to take their life seriously and show them correction in a loving and caring manner that was more than self grandiose.
Now, now they are going to show you that, by telling them that they evil and wrong, they will march to hell with shoulders back and head held high. They will take it upon themselves to show you that they aren’t acting evil, but they are evil incarnate. You will be shown that as much as you think they don’t matter, either do you. These caskets they build within their soul are for you.
When terror reigns and they commit these mass shootings, taking the lives of not only the ones who pushed them there, but also the innocent, the ones who may have never spoken a single word to these monsters of darkness. This is because within there eyes, they too are guilty, they too are meaningless, and just to prove how meaningless it all is, many of them will kill themselves, just to show you how worthless it all was.
These are the issues that lie at the base of these evil atrocities that plague our world. This topic is hard and painful to talk about, because in a small sense I feel we are all to blame for it. What would happen if we took it upon ourselves to take everyone seriously? To delve into the depths of another persons world to show them even a glimmer of hope and light.
What if we talked to the person all alone in an attempt to really care and help change their life, instead of judging them for the wrong they may commit. We live within a sinful and corrupt world, and we need to combat that at the level of the individual in the way that Christ showed us. Remember we are to hate the sin, not the person, and many Christians absolutely forget that. We need to be reminded that each person is worthy of saving, worthy of love.
Christ didn’t die on the cross for only the people in pews of the churches, he died for all, as a sacrifice for all sin, for all people, for all time. This is the conversation that needs to be had, the conversation around the mental well being of the individual, the conversation surrounding the rebuilding of the family unit, the conversation of responsibility of the individual and the meaning found within, the conversation of a Christ like love.
In closing, before you attack the person cast out of society for what he or she is doing before knowing why they are doing such things, keep in the back of your mind that that person may very well be constructing more than just a single casket.
