Michael Letts sat down recently with the Bill McIntosh Show to discuss the events of Jan. 6th, 2021 and discuss several major questions to be resolved concerning the outbreak of violence at our capitol that occurred.
The biggest of these questions may well be why did Nancy Pelosi and the Capitol Police NOT accept help from the White House when a contingent of 1400 National Guard troops nearby could have been deployed? Michael Letts commented:
“Days prior to January the 6th, there was discussion among the Speaker of the House, Sergeant at Arms and the U.S. Capitol Police, over the concern of the fact that a rally was going to be held on January the sixth and could there be a spillover or any possible security concerns to the US Capitol. Because of that concern being raised to the President who was President Trump at the time, ordered that the National Guard be made available to the US Capitol Complex; the US Capitol Police and the Sergeant at Arms. It was declined twice. They did not need any assistance.”
The dire nature of the Capitol riot that began to unfold on Jan. 6th led to ex US Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund reportedly requesting emergency backup assistance from the National Guard a total of six times. As quoted from NPR.org on Jan. 11th, 2021:
“The former chief of U.S. Capitol Police [Steven Sund] says security officials at the House and Senate rebuffed his early requests to call in the National Guard ahead of a demonstration in support of President Trump that turned into a deadly attack on Congress. Former chief Steven Sund — who resigned his post last week after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called for him to step down — made the assertions in an interview with The Washington Post published Sunday……Sund told the Post that House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving was concerned with the “optics” of declaring an emergency ahead of the protests and rejected a National Guard presence. He says Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger recommended that he informally request the Guard to be ready in case it was needed to maintain security. Sund says he requested assistance six times ahead of and during the attack on the Capitol. Each of those requests was denied or delayed, he says.”
Another enormous question is whether a contingency plan had been put together in the event of any security concerns arising. Speaker Pelosi, as of the date of the interview, according to Michael Letts, had not turned over any documents, text messages, or emails to respond to a FOIA request concerning Capitol Security and the riots of January 6th. Why has Speaker Pelosi not cooperated with this process? What would be discovered from examination of these documents and messages?
The media seems un-eager to question Pelosi’s responsibility in this significant yet still adequately investigated disturbance. This leads to the issue of the media’s characterization of the riot. One cannot fail to notice how freely the mainstream media terms it as an “insurrection” despite a glaring lack of firearms or some conspiracy along the lines of a coup or legislative overthrow among protest participants.
Could the enigmatic figure of Ray Epps and his words and possibly even his deeds suggest some coordinated effort to disrupt the actions of Congress that day? Many still seek answers and don’t buy the breathless, mainstream media debunking of this individual as a possible January 6th conspirator nor a person requiring investigation. Why did Epps suddenly become an ex member of the government’s January 6th wanted list?
It was soon after the dust settled on the events of January 6th, 2021 that the businessman from Arizona, Ray Epps, became a focus of attention. Although the media has recently rushed to discard him as a person to wonder about and whether or not he was a federal agent in some way cooperating with federal authorities prior to January 6th, 2021, Epps stubbornly looms as an enigma to many. Senator Ted Cruz brought this into sharp relief through his recent questioning on January 11th, 2022 of Jill Sanborn Executive Assistant Director of the FBI’s national security branch.
When Sen. Cruz asked her if Ray Epps were a “fed” she responded strangely “Sir I cannot answer that question”. She replied in a similar manner when Sen. Cruz pointed out that based on video/photo evidence, 5 seconds after Ray Epps whispered in the ear of a man at the Capitol protest that very same man who Epps whispered to began to forcibly tear down the barricades near the Capitol and asked Sanborn if Epps had urged them to tear down the barricades. Sanborn responded “Sir similar to the other answers I cannot answer that.” With answers like this, of course America has its reasons to distrust the federal government!
Some have maintained that the only insurrection last January was through a frustration of the anticipated congressional process that should have occurred on January 6th, but did not, as the electoral votes were about to be counted in which members of Congress could have questioned the election of Nov. 2020 and detail their grave concerns about a presidential election that was plagued by irregularities and serious improprieties.
Sens. Steve Daines of Montana, Mike Braun of Indiana and Kelly Loeffler of Georgia and other senators had a change of heart after the riot and refused to back efforts by House Representatives to object to the certification of Joe Biden as president. Was a rubber stamping of this appalling electoral result, rife with irregularities the goal?
Michael Letts organization In-VestUSA, is a national grassroots non-profit organization that is helping hundreds of communities provide thousands of bullet-proof vests for their police forces through educational, public relations, sponsorship, and fundraising programs. People are urged to adopt a first responder in their respective communities in need of body armor and to conduct fund raisers in their neighborhoods or through church groups through car washes, bake sales, garage sales, fish fries, cook out events or other ways to raise money. Protective vests cost approximately $750 and organizing a fundraiser is a superlative way to show you stand for the Police in your cities, towns and villages. Get involved with www.investusa.org
